The Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing certain aspects of a construction project; primarily the documentation and controls that support the construction process. The main goal is to ensure the project meets the intent of the contract documents. Ensures all trades, systems, and sources have been fully examined for compliance, coordination, and appropriate approvals.

Responsibilities
Oversight and organization of project control documents including submittals, RFI’s, shop drawings, plan logs, permit logs, procurement logs, and compliance documentation. Coordination and input of schedule, safety inspections, quality checks, and management of meeting minutes. Integral to project communication, project administration, and document control, while also providing project management and superintendent support.

Skills
Plan reading, technical reading and writing, critical thinking; software proficiency with Bluebeam, Procore, Excel, Word, Outlook, Zoom, MS Teams, AutoCad (viewing)

Dedicated, resourceful, articulate, curious, analytical, reliable, organized, and punctual.

Experience
Background of 4+ years in construction or a related field, and/or a bachelor's or master's degree in construction management or a related discipline. Extensive knowledge of multiple product types and trades. Participate in mid-size projects to large size projects.

Physical Requirements
  • Desk and computer work
  • Inspect job sites: walk 2-3 miles daily, climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding
  • Lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Commute to jobsite
