The Assistant Superintendent / Safety is responsible for managing all aspects of field operations, including site supervision and safety for a construction project. Ensures the project is completed on time, within budget, and to exceptional quality standards. Lead and coordinate subcontractors and vendors to execute work proficiently on the project. Responsible for project safety, quality, and compliance. A team leader with the ability to work well under pressure, along with managing and motivating a team of construction professionals.
This role involves on-site supervision and safety oversight for various construction projects across different locations.
*The position requires FULL-TIME TRAVEL across the country to multiple job sites.*
Responsibilities
The role will oversee safety orientations, conduct weekly meetings and toolbox talks, supervise stormwater management and inspections, and engage in the RFI and submittal process. Collaborating with ownership and design teams, they will also identify and resolve constructability issues while providing strategic vision for field operations. Additionally, they will be responsible for understanding safety principles and regulations such as OSHA, ANSI, and NFPA, while utilizing strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and contractors to prioritize safety on-site. Proficient in Procore, vendor services software, and Microsoft Office applications, they will plan and sequence projects, schedule subcontractors and trades, and coordinate construction activities.
Skills
Proficient in plan reading, problem solving, strategic planning, technical writing, critical thinking, and risk mitigation. Software Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, Procore, MS Office, Outlook, Zoom, MS Teams, AutoCad for plan viewing, and DocuSign.
